A few days ago, I had the luck of visiting Real Madrid during one of their training sessions ahead of a Euroleague game. As soon as I stepped onto the court, Sergi Llull came up to greet me. We had shared unforgettable moments during the preparation for the FIBA tournament and the stage leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It was a warm, familiar greeting, as if time hadn’t passed. And although it felt like it was just yesterday, that experience has already become an unforgettable chapter in my career.

I’ve always been told that you appreciate things more as time goes by. And the truth is, the older I get, the more I value the moments I’ve lived, the experiences that have shaped me. There was a time when I found myself surrounded by basketball legends, by players who are living history of our sport. I was there, in the front row, witnessing what many only see on TV: the final dance of figures like Rudy Fernández and Sergi Llull.

How many seasons of success, how many national titles, how many Euroleagues, and most importantly, how many unforgettable memories have these basketball giants given us? It wasn’t just about the games; it was about being alongside them, learning from their professionalism, their work ethic, and their passion for the game. And while Rudy has already retired, we’re still lucky enough to enjoy Llull’s final seasons, a player who has left an indelible mark on Real Madrid and on world basketball.

Without a doubt, these have been some of the best experiences of my life.
